  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch For coating the chicken
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil For frying
  • 1/4 cup honey Adjust sweetness as desired
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced For flavoring the sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Can use low-sodium if preferred
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar For acidity
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until fully coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
  3. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Mix until well combined.
  4. Return the chicken to the pan and toss to coat in the honey garlic sauce.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container.
