Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and roasted cherries until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Top with extra cherries for an appealing finish.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting them into squares.
