Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie dish to form the crust.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.
Filling
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the peanut butter and powdered sugar together until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until well combined.
- Pour the peanut butter filling into the cooled crust and smooth the top.
Topping and Chilling
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth. Drizzle or spread the melted chocolate over the peanut butter filling.
- Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Serving
- Before serving, top with whipped cream if desired.
- Enjoy your delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie!
Notes
For a smoother chocolate topping, melt the chocolate chips slowly in the microwave. You can also experiment with the crust; a graham cracker crust could offer a delightful twist.
