Preparation
- Drain all four cans of green beans and add them to the crock pot.
- Spoon in both cans of cream of mushroom soup.
- Pour 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk over the beans and soup.
- Add 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper and optional red pepper flakes.
- Stir in 1/2 cup of the French fried onions.
- Secure the lid and set the slow cooker to HIGH. Cook for 2-3 hours.
- After cooking, switch the crock pot to the warm setting.
- When ready to serve, sprinkle the remaining French fried onions over the top.
Notes
This casserole is great for holidays and pairs well with a variety of main dishes. Make sure to reserve some fried onions for topping to keep them crunchy.
