  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef to reduce excess grease.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Adjust the amount to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar Modify for sweetness preference.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 cups cooked rice Serve hot, fluffy rice.
  • 2 pieces green onions, sliced For garnishing.
  • Sesame seeds for garnish Optional decorative topping.

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it's browned. Make sure to drain any excess fat.
  2. While the beef cooks, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a bowl.
  3. Once the beef is ready, pour the sauce over it and stir to combine. Let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to marry the flavors.
  4. Serve the beef mixture over some fluffy cooked rice, then top with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds to finish.

Notes
