Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth and well blended.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  6. Using a tablespoon, drop rounded portions of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookie edges are set and slightly firm.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze after cooling completely.
