Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey sweet and sticky
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce for umami flavor
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced for flavor
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for sautéing
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or steamed vegetables for serving

Method

Preparation
  1. Mix the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a medium bowl to create the sauce.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Cooking
  1. Add the shrimp to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  2. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and let it simmer for an additional 2 minutes to thicken the sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve the shrimp over cooked rice or alongside steamed vegetables.

Notes

For maximum flavor, let the shrimp marinate in the sauce for 15-30 minutes before cooking. Add red pepper flakes for heat. Avoid overcrowding the pan for best texture.
