  • 2 cups pumpkin puree Use canned or fresh pumpkin puree.
  • 1 cup oatmeal Regular or instant oatmeal works well.
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Ensure it's dog-safe without xylitol.
  • 1/4 cup water Add as needed to reach spreadable consistency.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the dehydrator according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. In a bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, oatmeal, and peanut butter until well combined.
  3. If the mixture is too thick, gradually add water until it's spreadable.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly onto dehydrator trays lined with parchment paper.
Dehydration
  1. Dehydrate at 135°F (57°C) for 8-10 hours or until fully dry and leathery.
  2. Once cool, cut into pieces and store in an airtight container.

Notes

Store the cooled pumpkin leather treats in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. They should stay fresh for a couple of weeks. You can also freeze them for longer storage.
