Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 12 oz mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Method

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients.
  2. Set up your breading station: one bowl with flour, another with beaten eggs, and a third with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each mozzarella stick into the flour, then the egg, and finally into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing breadcrumbs firmly to help adhere.
  4. Lay the breaded sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes to help them keep their shape while frying.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Fry the mozzarella sticks a few at a time for 1-2 minutes until they turn golden brown.
  3. Remove them and let them drain on paper towels before serving warm.

Notes

For added flavor, you can play around with spices, or even add some red pepper flakes for heat. To reheat leftovers, place them in the oven for a few minutes to regain their crispiness.
