  • 1 package wonton wrappers Use fresh or thawed frozen wrappers.
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it's fully softened for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese You can substitute with pepper jack for a spicy kick.
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon Feel free to swap with sausage for a different flavor.
  • 2-3 jalapeños, diced (seeds removed for less heat) Adjust the number according to your spice preference.
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Cooking spray For greasing the muffin tin.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.
  3. Place one wonton wrapper in each muffin cup, pressing it into the sides to form a cup.
  4. In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until everything is well combined.
  5. Spoon the cheese mixture into each wonton cup.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the wontons are golden brown and crispy.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping. You can sprinkle with chopped cilantro or green onions for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
