Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Ensure it does not contain xylitol, as it is toxic to dogs.
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1/4 cup honey Optional; can swap for a different sweetener or leave out.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree and peanut butter until well combined.
  2. Gradually add in the oats and mix until a dough forms. Stir in honey and cinnamon if using.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls or press it into a baking dish for easier cutting later.
  4. Refrigerate the treats for about 30 minutes.
  5. Once set, cut them into shapes or keep them as balls. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

These treats last up to a week in the refrigerator; can be frozen for longer storage. Thaw before serving. Can add ingredients like mashed banana or yogurt for variation.
