Ingredients

For the crust
  • 30 pieces 30 Oreo cookies
  • 6 Tbsp 6 Tbsp butter (melted)
For the filling
  • 2 cups 2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz 8 ounces Cool Whip (or 3 cups whipped cream)
  • 1 cup 1 cup butter (melted)
For the ganache
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup whipping cream Used for preparing the ganache
  • 1 cup 1 cup chocolate chips (dark chocolate is best)
Toppings
  • 5 pieces 5 Reese's (chopped) Used for garnishing

Method

Make the crust
  1. Process the Oreo cookies in a food processor until they turn into fine crumbs. Add the melted butter and pulse until fully combined. Press the mixture into a pie pan evenly to create a crust.
Prepare the filling
  1. In a stand mixer, beat the creamy peanut butter, melted butter, and powdered sugar together until well combined. Introduce the Cool Whip or whipped cream and beat again until smooth. Pour this creamy mixture into your Oreo crust.
Make the chocolate ganache
  1. Place the chocolate chips in a large heat-proof bowl. Heat the 1/2 cup of whipping cream in a saucepan until it simmers, then pour it over the chocolate chips. Let it sit for 4-5 minutes, then stir until you have a silky ganache. Pour it over the peanut butter filling and sprinkle the chopped Reese's on top.
Chill
  1. Refrigerate your pie until it’s set, usually for at least 4-6 hours. This will allow all the flavors to meld beautifully.

Notes

For easy crust removal, line the bottom of the pie pan with parchment paper before adding the crumb mixture. Substitute low-fat cream cheese for a lighter version. For added texture, mix in crushed peanuts or use chopped Snickers as a topping.
