Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • ¾ Cup Butter, Softened Make sure butter is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter Can substitute with crunchy peanut butter for added texture.
  • 4 Cups Powdered Sugar Add gradually for best consistency.
  • 1 Teaspoon Orange Gel Food Coloring Use for festive appearance.
  • 1 Cup Mini Chocolate Chips Place on top as decoration.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by creaming the softened butter and peanut butter together in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Slowly incorporate the powdered sugar, adding it in ½ cup increments until the mixture is well combined and no longer sticky.
  3. Add the orange food coloring gradually. Mix until you achieve a uniform color.
  4. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to make it easier to handle.
Rolling and Chilling
  1. Once chilled, use your hands to roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Use a toothpick to gently press into the sides of each ball, creating 4-5 indentations.
  3. Place a mini chocolate chip on top of each ball, with the pointed side facing up.
  4. Refrigerate for an additional 15 minutes, or until you’re ready to serve.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. They can last for about a week. For longer storage, consider freezing them.
