- In a bowl, mix crushed chocolate cookies with melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a tart pan to form a crust. Refrigerate until firm.
- In another bowl, combine creamy peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread this peanut butter mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until just boiling. Pour the hot cream over the chopped semisweet chocolate in a separate bowl and let it sit for about a minute. Stir until the mixture is smooth, then add in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.
- Carefully pour the ganache over the peanut butter layer in the tart.
- Chill the tart in the refrigerator for at least two hours before slicing and serving.
