- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the pureed pumpkin, softened coconut oil, and water until well mixed.
- Add the whole wheat flour, baking soda, and baking powder, then stir in the egg until the mixture is well blended.
- If the dough is too dry, add a bit more water to achieve a solid, slightly sticky ball of dough.
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Use a cookie cutter to cut out the treats and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until hardened, then allow them to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Store biscuits in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for longer preservation. Add spices like cinnamon or parsley for extra flavor. Alternative flours can be used based on dietary needs.
