  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (unsweetened, dog-friendly)
  • 1/4 cup honey (optional) can be omitted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 large egg

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, peanut butter, honey (if using), water, and egg until well combined.
  3. Stir in the oats and cinnamon until everything is evenly mixed.
  4. Grease a muffin tin or line it with muffin cups.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool before serving to your dog.
  8. Store extras in the freezer for future treats.

Notes

To enhance the flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg along with the cinnamon. You can also top the muffins with a little peanut butter after baking. For dogs with allergies to certain ingredients, sunflower seed butter can be a great alternative.
