  • 1 cup pumpkin puree Make sure to use pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (unsweetened and unsalted) Ensure it is dog-friendly.
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour Can substitute with oat flour for a gluten-free option.
  • 1/4 cup oats Regular or quick oats can be used.
  • 1 unit egg Use a large egg.

Method
 

Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree and peanut butter until well combined.
  3. Add the egg and mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the whole wheat flour and oats, stirring until a dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Let cool completely before serving to your dog.

Notes

Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze them in a freezer-safe container for several months.
